先日、Ann A. Wilcock先生が他界されました。

Ann A. Wilcockの理論を学べる必読本は以下の通りです。

この2冊は必読です。

An Occupational Perspective of Health

必読。

作業を通した健康と幸福の促進、、、という視点を学ぶことができます。

本書の議論は非常に学際的でして、作業が人間と社会の成長や減退にどう関連しているのかを理解することができます。

OBP2.0の開発にあたって、かなり格闘していますが、いつ読んでも学びがあります。

作業療法界において、Wilcockは世界的に影響を与えた大学者ですが、一冊も日本語訳がでていないので日本だけ周回遅れになっています。

すべての作業療法士におすすめの本です。

Occupation for Health

博学すぎてマジでビビる本です。

本書を読むと、Wilcockは本当に作業療法界で最大級の知の巨人の１人だなぁ、、、と痛感します。

作業と健康と幸福の相互作用の通史になっているんですが、その手腕が凄まじくて歴史、哲学、社会、進化、文化、生物、作業療法、作業科学などに関する圧倒的な知を駆使しておりまする。

「時間と金をやるから書け」といわれても、この水準で書ける人はほとんどいないんじゃないかなぁ。

めちゃくちゃぶ厚い本だし、かなり専門的な知識を要するので、読み終えるのに年単位の時間がかかりますけど、作業療法士なら苦労してでも読む価値ありです（ぼくもちゃんと理解できていないと思う）。

本記事では「Ann A. Wilcock先生が亡くなったので、改めて先生が書いた論文、著書を読みたいなぁ。主な業績が知りたい」という疑問にお答えしました。

Wilcockの著書の日本語訳がないので、日本の作業療法界への影響は限定的です。

しかし、Wilcockの理論は世界の作業療法界に強く影響を与えています。

周回遅れにならないためにも、作業療法士はWilcockの理論を勉強しましょうね。
